Our day continued with an exploration of the church and its enchanting surroundings, leaving us with a deep sense of history and culture 🏛️🌟.

As the sun began to set, we returned to Merida for a culinary adventure at ‘La Chaya Maya’ 🍽️🌆.

This restaurant offered a unique experience as you could witness the art of crafting fresh tortillas (petas) right on the premises, a true treat for the senses! I couldn’t resist ordering ‘Los 4 Yucas,’ a dish that featured four tantalizing samples of traditional Yucatan cuisine, paired with a local beer called ‘Patito’ 🍻🍴.

It was a delightful journey through the flavors of the region that left my taste buds dancing 💃.

After this culinary escapade, we retreated to the hostel, where we unwound by the pool with a glass of wine, cherishing the memories of our day. It was an early night, as we eagerly awaited another day of adventure that awaited us on the horizon 🍷🌙.
