Our day took an unexpected turn as we embarked on another two-and-a-half-hour drive, crossing a time zone and losing an hour along the way ⏰🚗.

By the time we reached Cancun for our flight, exhaustion had begun to set in. However, our plans hit a hiccup when we discovered that our flight with Swoop was canceled due to maintenance issues ✈️🔧.

The silver lining? We got to spend another night in Cancun! 😉

Despite the initial inconvenience with Swoop, we managed to find a fantastic hostel called ‘Nomad’ for the night 🏨🌙.

The hostel boasted comfortable beds, a ground-floor bar where I indulged in a refreshing Corona/Mango colada, and even a rooftop bar and pool 🍹🏊‍♂️.

Sometimes, the unexpected twists of travel can lead to memorable experiences and hidden gems.
